Statement by Geoconda Argüello-Kline, Secretary-Treasurer for the Culinary Union regarding 2018 CD4 primary race:

The Culinary Union has endorsed Steven Horsford for Congressional District 4.

As a native Las Vegan, who grew up in Congressional District 4, Steven knows the challenges our community faces and has a proven record of fighting for working families.

For more than a decade, Steven led the largest job training program in Nevada, the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas, an affiliate of the Culinary Union. Under Steven’s leadership, the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas helped thousands of workers train for and secure union jobs with good benefits so that they could provide for their families. The Culinary Academy of Las Vegas enhances the quality and sustainability of thousands of hospitality jobs, which helps strengthen the entire community, and with Steven’s direction, changed the lives of thousands of workers.

Steven has always stood in solidarity with union members and we look forward to seeing him champion workers’ rights and other issues important to working families as the next Congressman from Nevada.
