The Grievance Team at the Culinary Union fights tough battles to win lost wages and jobs back for members. Here are two recent victories:
Gregory, a door man at the Golden Nugget in DTLV was unfairly terminated. Culinary Union's Grievance Team fought a year to get him back to work. He was also awarded a grand total of $14,990.40 in lost wages.
Arnulfo, a utility porter at Treasure Island, was unjustly terminated. He filed a grievance with the Culinary Union’s Grievance Team. The grievance team fought hard for a year and a half to get him back to work. He was also awarded a grand total of $43,586.67 in backpay.

2018 CONTRACT FIGHT
The Culinary Union’s Negotiating Committee has proposed the largest economic package ever for wages and benefits.
The Culinary Union health plan is one of the best in the country - only 3% of U.S. workers have no paycheck deductions for family coverage like our health plan. 2% in the hotel and restaurant industries have pension plans like ours.
To keep the Union strong, we have to be vigilant about protecting our health plan and pension! Our Future is Now!

Hundreds of Culinary Union members leafleted and picketed throughout March in support of non-union restaurant workers on the Las Vegas Strip. Non-union restaurant workers deserve respect!
