The Culinary Union HQ open to the public beginning Monday, June 1st, 2020, Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm.

IN ORDER TO PROTECT YOU AND CULINARY UNION STAFF FROM COVID-19:

*All visitors are required to wear a face covering or mask at all times when in the Culinary Union building. If you don’t have a mask, the Union will provide one for you.

*Social distancing will be enforced. Maintain at least 6-feet of physical distance at all times from other people.

*Wash hands often and with soap for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer will be provided throughout the Culinary Union

*As always, avoid touching your face, eyes, nose, or mouth and cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow when you cough or sneeze

*Do not come to the Culinary Union if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have recently been exposed to someone who tested positive for the virus. Call instead.

ENTRANCE:

The New York Avenue entrance will be the only entrance open for visitors. There will be fever temperature screenings for all visitors before entering the Union building.

Plexiglass and barriers for your protection are installed throughout the Culinary Union.

MEETINGS:

All visitors must make an appointment before coming to the Culinary Union building. Call (702) 385-2131 to make an appointment or to find out if we can address your issue over the phone instead.

Call the Culinary Union at (702) 385-2131 to file a grievance or get your questions about grievances answered.

Meetings should be conducted by phone or videoconference whenever possible. You most likely do not need to come down to the Culinary Union to file a grievance or get your questions answered.

If in person meetings are necessary, gatherings should be no more than 5 workers and no more than 10 people total, except when otherwise approved by the Secretary-Treasurer. Meetings should be limited to only those directly involved whenever possible.


La oficina central de la Unión Culinaria volverá a abrir al público el 1º de junio del 2020, de lunes a viernes, de 8am-4pm.

PARA PODER PROTEGERLO A USTED Y AL PERSONAL DE LA UNIÓN CONTRA EL COVID-19:

*Se requerirá que todos los visitantes usen un cobertor facial o máscara en todo momento mientras se encuentren en el edificio de la Unión Culinaria. Si usted no tiene una máscara, la Unión le brindará una.

*Se harán cumplir prácticas de distanciamiento social. Mantenga una distancia física de al menos 6 pies entre usted y otras personas en todo momento.

*Lávese las manos frecuentemente con jabón por al menos 20 segundos o use un desinfectante de manos a base de alcohol. Se proveerá desinfectante para las manos por toda la Unión.

*Como siempre, evite tocarse la cara, los ojos, la nariz, o la boca y cúbrase la boca y nariz con un pañuelo desechable o con la parte interior del codo al estornudar o toser.

*No se presente en la Unión si tiene algún síntoma del COVID-19 o si recientemente ha estado expuesto a una persona que tuvo un resultado positivo al virus. Llame en lugar de ir.

ENTRADA:

REUNIONES:

Cada que sea posible, las juntas deberían llevarse a cabo por teléfono o videoconferencia. Lo más posible es que no necesite ir personalmente a la Unión Culinaria para presentar un agravio u obtener respuestas a sus preguntas.

Si es necesario tener juntas en persona, se prohibirán las reuniones con más de 5 trabajadores y de más de 10 personas en total, al menos que sean aprobadas por la Secretaria-Tesorera. Las juntas deberían limitarse a aquellas personas que estén directamente involucradas en el asunto, cada que sea posible.
