Culinary Union rejects Virgin Hotel's request to arbitrate amid ongoing strike

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas invited Culinary Union leadership to arbitrate an agreement that could end the Culinary Union strike against the hotel-casino after more than six weeks of striking. However, responding to the message, the union's Secretary-Treasurer Ted Pappageorge, called the act a meaningless publicity stunt.

"There was a letter, but it's meaningless because if you are only willing to sit down and talk about a third of what the Strat workers requested, that's not really bargaining in good faith," said Pappageorge.
