Nevada’s Culinary Union is enlisting former Vice President Kamala Harris to rally casino workers ahead of next month’s election, boosting Democratic gubernatorial nominee Aaron Ford in his bid to unseat Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo.

The Culinary Union, which represents 60,000 casino and hospitality workers across Las Vegas and Reno, is hosting Harris at its headquarters on Spring Mountain Road. The event is exclusive to members of Culinary Workers Union Local 226 and Bartenders Union Local 165.

“Governor Lombardo has done nothing to protect workers from the Trump Slump. As Lombardo runs for re-election in a state built and run by unionized hospitality workers, Culinary Union continues to demand to know why the governor stands with Trump’s harmful economic agenda instead of fighting and delivering for the working people who run Nevada’s economy.”
