STATEMENT by Culinary Union Secretary-Treasurer Ted Pappageorge regarding AB224 (Collective Bargaining for University Professionals):

The Culinary Union strongly supports Assembly Bill 224 because working people believe that the right to collectively bargain is fundamental to a just workplace, will enable Nevada’s universities to recruit and train the talent they need to excel, and because collective bargaining is the foundation of the American middle class.

A labor union is of benefit not just to employees, but also to employers by enabling the recruitment and retention of high quality staff.

The Culinary Union strongly urges the Nevada Legislature to support Assembly Bill 224.
