Secretary Treasurer of the Culinary Union Local 226, Ted Pappageorge said the heart of the issue lies in worker stability, not just unemployment statistics. Las Vegas saw about 7% fewer visitors in June compared to the same month last year. That decline could slow down the pace of job recovery. 

“Companies are holding off on hiring and reducing hours. We were fearful of this trump slump, and now it’s here,” said  Ted Pappageorge, Secretary Treasurer of the Culinary Union Local 226.
