CONGRATULATIONS to workers at Waldorf Astoria who ratified their first ever union contract! Waldorf Astoria workers won the same 5-year contract as their brothers and sisters on the Las Vegas Strip (the highest economic package ever negotiated)!

Circus Circus Reno management continues to treat workers as second-class, so the fight continues. Workers will fight until we win!

RAISES
Great raises are coming June 1st! Culinary Union members still have the best FREE health insurance, while other workers have to pay thousands of dollars per year from their check.
STEP 1 TRAINING
There will be refresher training for MGM and Caesars properties in June. It will start with refresher certification training with managers and shop stewards hotel by hotel in July. Ask your organizer if your hotel can be first!

Wednesday, June 19th at 10am and 6pm in the Culinary Union Big Hall. Open to shop stewards, volunteer organizers, and any Culinary or
Bartenders Union member interested in learning more about your

YES WE CAN: PALMS REQUIRED TO BARGAIN!
The National Labor Relations Board in Washington D.C. has ordered Station Casinos’ Palms Casino Resort to bargain with the Culinary and Bartenders Unions.
Station Casinos is now operating in violation of federal labor law at the Palms by refusing to recognize and bargain with the Unions.
We demand that Station Casinos recognize their workers’ voices and votes at the Palms and begin contract negotiations in good faith immediately.

La Junta Nacional de Relaciones Laborales en Washington D.C. le ha ordenado a Palms Casino Resort, que pertenece a Station Casinos, negociar con la Unión Culinaria y la Unión de Cantineros.
Station Casinos está operando el Palms en violación de la ley federal de trabajo al rehusarse a reconocer y negociar con estos sindicatos.
Exigimos que Station Casinos reconozca las voces y los votos de sus trabajadores en el Palms e inmediatamente comience la negociación de los contratos de buena fe.
CLERGY AND LAITY UNITED FOR ECONOMIC JUSTICEMembers of Clergy and Laity for Economic Justice (CLUE) held a meeting at the Catholic Diocese of Las Vegas.
Culinary Union leaders Geoconda Argüello-Kline and Ted Pappageorge updated faith leaders on 2018 Culinary Union victories, while Palms and Green Valley Ranch workers shared how the faith community can continue to support workers who are fighting for justice at Station Casinos.
The Culinary Union thanks the interfaith leaders of CLUE Las Vegas for their long history of standing with working families.

Los miembros del Clero y Laicos Unidos Por Justicia Económica (CLUE, por sus siglas en inglés) tuvieron una junta en la Diócesis Católica de Las Vegas.
Ahí, los líderes de la Unión Culinaria, Geoconda Argüello-Kline y Ted Pappageorge, pusieron a los líderes religiosos al tanto de los triunfos de la Culinaria del 2018; y a su vez los trabajadores del Palms y de Green Valley Ranch explicaron cómo la comunidad religiosa puede seguir apoyando a los trabajadores que están luchando por justicia en Station Casinos.
La Unión Culinaria les agradece a los líderes de CLUE Las Vegas por su larga trayectoria de apoyo hacia las familias de clase trabajadora.
